Breakfast is not always in the rate

Silk Path sells room-only rates and rates with breakfast. Paid on the day, breakfast is listed at roughly VND 390,000–510,000 per adult depending on the source, with reduced prices for children aged 6 to 11.

Pick a breakfast rate if you like a long hotel breakfast before sightseeing. Go room-only if you plan to eat pho at street stalls each morning.

The deposit and your passport

Expect to leave a refundable deposit of roughly VND 1–1.3 million in cash or on a card, and to have your passport and visa copied for police registration. Both are routine in Vietnam; ask for the passport back once copied.

Easiest if you pay by card; the hold is released after check-out. Ask first if you would rather not tie up cash; tell the desk you prefer a card hold.

195–199 Hang Bong

Silk Path, not Silk Path Boutique

The same group runs Silk Path Boutique Hanoi at 21 Hang Khay, beside Hoan Kiem Lake, and some booking sites call this hotel “Silk Path Luxury Hanoi”. Check that the address on your booking reads 195–199 Hang Bong.

Book this one if you want the 4-star hotel near Train Street and the station. Look at the other if you specifically want to sleep by the lake.

Each rate on the booking page states its cancellation terms and whether breakfast is included; read both before you pay.

Before you arrive at Silk Path

01

Send requests after booking

Email the hotel with your booking reference for a high floor, a balcony, a cot or a late check-out. Requests made only through a booking site are easy to miss.

02

Carry some dong

Card is fine at the hotel, but street food, taxis and small shops around Hang Bong want Vietnamese dong in cash. The airport and Old Quarter ATMs dispense it.

03

Give drivers the full address

Write down “195–199 Hang Bong, Hoan Kiem” for taxi and tour drivers. Hang Bong is long, and Silk Path Boutique on Hang Khay can confuse a driver who only hears the name.

Honest note

Several policies differ between listings: the breakfast price, the deposit amount and the extra-bed charge all appear with different figures. We show ranges; treat the hotel’s confirmation of your booking as final.

More practical questions about Silk Path

Can I pay by card at Silk Path Hotel Hanoi?

Yes. Listings show the hotel accepting cash, credit cards and debit cards for the deposit and for extras such as meals and the minibar. Your room itself is paid through the booking platform or at the hotel, depending on the rate you choose, so check your confirmation for which applies.

Does Silk Path charge for early check-in?

The hotel does not publish a fixed fee. Early check-in before 2 pm depends on availability, and if you need a guaranteed room on an early-morning arrival, the safe option is to book the previous night as well. Ask the hotel a day ahead whether a room is likely to be ready.

Does Silk Path have a laundry service?

Yes, the hotel offers a laundry service for guests, at an extra charge. For larger loads, the Old Quarter has many small laundries that wash by the kilo for much less and usually return clothes the same or next day. Ask the front desk for one nearby.

Can Silk Path help book tours and train tickets?

Ask at the front desk. City hotels in the Old Quarter routinely help guests book day tours, cruises and train tickets to Lao Cai, but Silk Path does not publish a tour desk or prices, so treat it as a service on request rather than a guarantee.

Is there a charge for a cot at Silk Path?

Listings show cots as free for children up to one year old. Cots are limited, so mention one when you reserve and get the hotel to confirm it by email before you travel, especially in busy months.

What languages do the staff at Silk Path speak?

Listings name English and Vietnamese. Front-desk staff in central Hanoi 4-star hotels generally handle English well; for detailed requests in another language, write them down or use a translation app, and ask the hotel to confirm important points by email.
